(HD) High Definition Commercial Production. We offer the lowest rate to convert standard definition commercials we create to HD or high definition. High definition is a relatively new technology. The major networks are now airing HD commercials, but local stations are slowly investing in the technology to broadcast high definition commercials. Some facts to understand: First, we always create your commercial in Standard Definition. Why? Because all cable and broadcast stations air standard definition commercials and require a standard definition version of your commercial even if a HD commercial version is submitted. This is to ensure your commercial airs as scheduled in the event the local station encounter issues. Second, the list of stations currently equipped at a local level to air high definition commercials is small, but growing. We can check your market for stations that accept high definition commercials. Third, most local cable stations do not accept HD commercials. Fourth, If you desire a high definition version of your commercial the additional conversion fee per commercial is $200. The video, photographs and logos must meet specific standards. Fifth, the processing and delivery fee is $250 per station. Why? Stations even in the same market have different technical requirements for HD commercials. These technical standards and the processing software required to convert your HD commercial to the exact standards are constantly improving. We employ a third party vendor to process and deliver your high definition commercial to the station(s). This added technical step ensures the finest quality commercials. The bottom line is you add $450 per HD commercial for one station to the our television production rates (example $499 + $450 = $949). Once the commercial is converted to high definition, delivery to each additional station is $250. Google TV Commercials for use with Google AdWords TV require you to upload your commercial in .mpg format. In some cases delivery directly to Google TV from ScottTelevision.com is required. The technical requirements required to upload your commercial are exact. We have invested in the specific software required to meet Google Adwords TV standards.
